I don't think people are going to pay to spill their guts, well, not to untrained randoms at least!

Also, your idea is pretty much shunning those who haven't paid and saying "your emotions and feelings don't count"

On top of that any joe schmoe can fork out $5. That's not a good "test" for maturity. There are plenty of examples of that.

Look its a weird idea. But given the activity of this place it could have potential.
I imagine it would introduce more girls/woman to the forum also.
Plus i can flame people who have emotional issues...... <-- THAT WAS A JOKE OK!!!!!
Ahhh bugger it give me another warning anyways. I like to see my warnings nice and high. Means i and the staff are doing there jobs Smile

I will look forward to the new sections.

I wonder how much activity they will actually get. I suppose we will never know until they are added.

I like the idea, but how about some kind of "Anonymous Posting" Feature for an ES section? I wouldn't really use it (I have another forum I use for non-computer things, including ES) But if I did need serious help, I know I would rather not post it here under the name "Vorfin" for personal/security reasons. Not to mention it would completely change the way people on this forum look at me.

RE: [Suggestion] Emotional support. - Grizzly - 10-18-2009

Yeah, it would be pretty neat if Omni could somehow (I know it would probably take a lot of work) develop something where for certain sections your post is as anonymous, or guest.

I still don't really like the idea but it appears the majority do Big Grin

And I second Grizzly.

You're wrong. This is a SUPPORT FORUM not just a computer support forum.

At the idea, it wouldn't be a horrible idea. People are more susceptible to opening up in a forum where no one really knows them rather than talking to others IRL. I don't know how popular it would really be but I think it's a possibility.

I voted for no, and I didn't bother reading the replies to this thread. Emotional support, on the internet? Oh god.

The thing is, most active people here know each other. Maybe not IRL, but, from this and other forums, and talk regularly on MSN. That's why I voted no. But, I also agreed with an above post about anonymous posting. Where, maybe, only Omni could see who was who (maybe mods, but, that's not really necessary).
