64 bit W7 would be nice in this case since you're planning to have 4+ GB of RAM.

That RAM part is true since you don't really notice the benefits of having Windows 7 unless you have at least 4GB of RAM, especially, for a 64bit OS. They recommend a minimum of 2GB I think, Microsoft does anyway, but I would only recommend that for a 32 bit version, for 64bit, 4GB minimum.
