back when i was suicidal i didnt have any of these symptoms, the outer ones atleast. I was very good at having a emotional mask in front of people and for years i hated life the only reason i dont anymore is because i fell in love with a girl that showed me life is worth living. The point of this is that suicidal people cannot easily identified as most would think, from when i was suicidal to being very happy not a single person noticed a difference.

impulses from suicidal thoughts dont help either.
another cause is knowing how to do it.
take ODing for example,to few makes it fail,can cause damage to the body or brain,can end up with the person recieving hate and judgement upon waking up....to many-makes most of them puke back up before digesting.
often,people do have a small part of them which does want things to be different-meaning they do want to live but they cant cope in the current way things are,so there may be subconcious sabatage going on to,who knows?

Though these may be warning signs, people could just be depressed and not be suicidal.

Long lasting depression usually leads to being suicidal.

Which is also a sign that there is something severely wrong with a person if they can be depressed for so long a time.
