You bet they do. I swore in a text this morning and my girlfriend asked why. Even though, shes swore before as well. Ah well.
Pushups will help you lose weight and stop swearing cuz they'll get so old after a while.

Well, doing pushups every time you cuss will not work because eventually you'll just get tired of doing pushups and just cuss without them :S.
However, just try and keep your mouth clean by using words to replace those swear words, if you keep doing this eventually you'll stop cussing.

You'll also get tired of saying really dumb sounding words in order to replace the curses. But at least with the pushups you'll get a workout.

Thats the key though, just like among other things you can punish yourself for you will get tired of what ever your doing thats making you punish yourself.
