The reason why people think the world will end in 2012 is because that is when the Mayans ended the calendar, and 2012 is when The Grand Alignment will happen (when all of the planets line up to form a straight line).
I believe the world will not happen. I think the Mayans ended the calender at the time that they did is because it takes about 100 years for this to happen and if they were to continue the calender they would have to do it for another 100 years.
If the world does end then there is nothing we can do.
I know it won't end, and there is nothing you can say to change my mind.
PS: We are all going to die sometime.
