RE: Dying in your Dreams - Kamisoyokaze - 08-27-2011

I have had a recurring dream since i was about 5 (I'm 16 now), where i fall into a pit of dead bodies, and for hours I cant get out, i try to get up the pit walls but some force pulls me back down, when I finally get out i fall down a cliff into the sea where i get tangled in seaweed and drown, then I wake up, it's not too pleasant...

It always come , i die in my dreams mostly because of falling from a building or sky. Falling from above without parachute is pretty amazing experience.

There is that rumour that if you fall of a cliff in your dream you will die in real life. I have had this dream and I'm still here posting this. Did I get lucky or is it just a rumour?

You decide!

Dying in dreams can be because in real life you're
dealing with some rough things, or you feel guilty.

I've died in my sleep. I had that dream for a while too.
In the dream I'd be falling off a building..

Well personally I'm a lucid dreamer so I kinda force myself in not dying, heh.
However when I let my dreams play out naturally they tend not to have a happy ending.

I'm pretty sure it's a subconscious message with a deeper meaning than just dying. Perhaps escaping something that you're afraid of or you don't want to deal with? I doubt that if you die in your dreams you'll die in real life as the myth has it.
