DDOS - eXPerience™ - 02-18-2010 How i can check if someone is ddosing my forum? RE: DDOS - Jordan L. - 02-18-2010 What errors / signs do you have that makes you think it is? RE: DDOS - eXPerience™ - 02-18-2010 Some members say me forum is opening really slow. RE: DDOS - Jordan L. - 02-18-2010 It may just be server lag or something.. doubt it's a DDOS. I had that problem all the time.. then I switched host and it's fine now. RE: DDOS - eXPerience™ - 02-18-2010 I have really good host. They are best in my country. RE: DDOS - Omniscient - 02-18-2010 Do a traceroute and see if you have any packet loss and where it's at. You can use something like Pingplotter. http://www.pingplotter.com/freeware.html Also view your logs...you may see constant activity on one page. See if your host offers bandwidth charts or other stats you can review to see if you have any spikes in usage. RE: DDOS - eXPerience™ - 02-18-2010 Thanks Omni i will try it and reply here. I read somewhere that you become a professional in the DDoS because of HF. Edit: I used that program and everything is good RE: DDOS - ELY_M - 02-20-2010 only way is have root access to your server and read firewall logs. I had freebsd server and run shell company once. I had many ddos attacks from kiddies. you gonna have to be good with iptables or ipfw. also you would need good router or hardware firewall that filter attacks. RE: DDOS - eXPerience™ - 02-22-2010 This is good right? RE: DDOS - Omniscient - 02-22-2010 OpenBSD's PF (Packet Filter) is imho the best firewall ever. http://www.openbsd.org/faq/pf/ |
