Apache + MyBB + co.cc? - ßeowulf - 12-24-2009 Hai guys. I know it's been a while since I last posted, and I need some help. I'm hosting a small forum on my Apache server. However, the forum URL is http://www.localhost/mybb. I want to change it to http://www.myurl.co.cc. I know how to register a co.cc domain, but I need help on configuring this to work with Apache and MyBB. Thanks. RE: Apache + MyBB + co.cc? - Grizzly - 12-24-2009 Do you have a dynamic IP Address? RE: Apache + MyBB + co.cc? - Grizzly - 12-25-2009 Set up a no-ip account first. Then set up the nameservers with whatever DNS entries they give you. RE: Apache + MyBB + co.cc? - DAMINK™ - 12-25-2009 Also because your ip is dynamic you will need to run the no-ip client also. RE: Apache + MyBB + co.cc? - ßeowulf - 12-28-2009 Grizzly, will your method work if my server is behind a firewall? RE: Apache + MyBB + co.cc? - Grizzly - 01-01-2010 Just make sure you forward the ports. RE: Apache + MyBB + co.cc? - Treblez - 01-01-2010 just to tell you that co.cc domains aren't indexed too well by search engines .. as far as i know RE: Apache + MyBB + co.cc? - Grizzly - 01-01-2010 The extension has nothing to do with your search engine position. |
