I've got a pup who gets really anxious whenever there's a thunderstorm or fireworks. She's a rescue, so I think some of her past experiences have left her a bit more sensitive to loud noises. I've tried the usual things like a Thundershirt and those calming treats, but I'm always on the lookout for other tricks that might help. I recently read about playing calming music for dogs. Anybody tried that? Also, heard some folks use lavender oil, but I'm not sure how to apply it safely. Would love to hear what works for your furry friends. Any advice is appreciated! 😊 Here's hoping for a peaceful night for all our anxious pets! 🐾

I've been through this with my own dog, and I totally get how tough it can be during storms or fireworks. Playing calming music can definitely help! I found that classical music or even specific playlists designed for dogs can create a soothing environment. You might want to try a few different types to see what your pup responds to best.

As for lavender oil, it's great for calming, but you should be cautious. Dilute it with a carrier oil like coconut oil before using it. A little dab on a bandana around your pup's neck can work wonders. Just make sure your dog doesn’t lick it off. Every dog is different, so it might take a bit of trial and error to find what works best. Wishing you and your pup many peaceful nights! 🐶💤
