is vr gaming the future or just a fad?

so i've been diving into vr gaming lately and it's been a wild ride 🎮. i got myself an oculus quest 2 and the immersion is just next level. games like "beat saber" and "half-life: alyx" make you feel like you're in a different world entirely. but i can't help but wonder, is this going to be the future of gaming or just another tech phase? i remember when motion controls were all the rage with the nintendo wii, but that kinda fizzled out. what do you guys think? have you tried vr gaming yet? do you think it’s worth the investment or should we just stick to our trusty consoles and pcs for now? would love to hear your thoughts!
