Just had a chat with my nephew about online safety and realized how much things have changed since I first got online. Crazy right? I remember when the biggest worry was accidentally clicking on a dodgy pop-up ad. Nowadays, it's all about phishing scams, data breaches, and privacy settings. So, here’s what I told him and thought it might be useful to share here: 1. **Passwords**: Use a password manager to keep track of those complex passwords. Gone are the days of using 'password123'. 2. **Two-Factor Authentication**: Enable it wherever possible. It's a lifesaver if someone tries to hack into your accounts! 3. **Be Skeptical**: If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Always double-check emails from 'your bank' or 'Amazon' asking for personal info. 4. **Privacy Settings**: Go through them on your social media accounts. Make sure you're not oversharing with strangers. 5. **Secure Networks**: Avoid public Wi-Fi for sensitive transactions. If you must, use a reliable VPN. What do you guys think? Any other tips or experiences you’d like to share? 🤔
