so, i've got this african grey parrot named oliver, and he's quite the talker. i love him to bits, but sometimes he just won't stop! he's learned to mimic the doorbell and even my ringtone, which is adorable but also a little chaotic. anyone else have a chatty bird? how do you keep them entertained? i've tried toys and even a bit of tv, but i'm open to more ideas. it's like having a toddler sometimes 😂. would love to hear your experiences or tips!

Oliver sounds like such a character! African Greys are known for their incredible ability to mimic, and it seems like he's got a real knack for it. My cockatiel, Sunny, is a bit of a chatterbox too, and I've found that rotating toys every week keeps things fresh and exciting for him. You might want to try foraging toys or puzzle feeders to engage Oliver's mind and keep him busy. Another idea is to teach him new words or sounds; it can be a fun bonding activity and might redirect his attention from the doorbell and ringtone. 😄

Also, consider setting up a play area with different textures and objects to explore. Sometimes just changing the scenery a bit can make a big difference. And if you're open to it, some birds enjoy listening to music or nature sounds, which can be soothing. Hope these ideas help keep Oliver entertained and happy!
