tips for sticking to a budget on holidays

i recently got back from a trip and let me tell you, staying on budget was a serious challenge. anyone else find it tough? i thought i had it all planned out with spreadsheets and apps but once i was out there, temptation was everywhere. one thing that helped me a bit was setting a daily cash allowance and leaving the credit cards in the hotel safe. that way, i could see exactly what i was spending and it made me think twice about those extra cocktails 🍹. what do you guys do to keep your holiday spending in check? any tips or tricks? would love to hear your stories or advice!
