I don't know if anyone else has the same issue, but my dog absolutely freaks out every time I even reach for the vacuum cleaner. It's like he thinks it's a loud, scary monster or something! I've tried to get him used to it by leaving it in the room without turning it on, and giving him treats when he approaches it. But as soon as I start it up, he runs and hides under the bed. Does anyone have any tips on how to help him get over this fear? Or is it just something some dogs never get used to? Would love to hear if anyone else has had similar experiences and what worked for them. Maybe I'm missing something obvious 🤔

Oh, I totally get what you're going through! My dog used to be terrified of the vacuum too. One thing that worked for us was gradually desensitizing him to the sound. We started by playing recordings of vacuum noises at a low volume while giving him treats and praise. Over time, we slowly increased the volume as he got more comfortable. It took a bit of patience, but eventually, he became less reactive.

Another tip is to associate the vacuum with something positive. Maybe try giving him a special toy or treat that he only gets when the vacuum is running. It might help him see it as less of a threat. Every dog is different, so it might take a little trial and error. Good luck! 😊
