Blokes, lately i’ve been deep down into this hole of urban gardening and let me tell ya, it’s absolutely a game changer. It began as a small project, I got myself a couple of pots, filled them with good old soil and just went with the easiest things to grow, like basil and parsley. window sills were my experimental gardening plot.
Couple of months in and I’ve expanded into vertical gardening on my balcony with recycled plastic bottles. Involved a bit of DIY there but it was truly worth the effort. Now I have cherry tomatoes, chilies, spinach and even some strawberries climbing up on the fence. What’s been really surprising, to be honest, is the amount of produce that you can get out of such a small space.
Also, it’s not just about the sweet homegrown veggies. There’s something incredibly peaceful about tending your little green patch. Plus, with all the you know what going round these days, it’s nice to have a hobby that keeps you at home but also keeps you active.
Anyone else here turned their thumb green during times of staying at home? or got any genius newbie tips to share?
Robots aren’t gonna grow up our veggies for us… yet. are they, lads?
