Can anyone help shed some light on how bisexuality is viewed or recognized in different societies? I reckon it’s one of the least understood sexual orientations compared to others like being gay or straight.
Just my two cents, but it feels like there’s a lot of insensitivity and misunderstanding around it, y’know? I often hear people say things like, ’it’s just a phase’ or ‘pick a side, already,’ which can be pretty hurtful. But it might be because they don’t fully get what it implies.
Curiously, I’ve seen some studies from last year showing that young gen like Gen Z are more likely to identify as bisexual, which is intriguing. From my end, I just want to learn more, not just for the people I know who identify as bi but for anyone who might feel a bit lost, misjudged, or misrepresented.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this, if there’s a cultural, regional, or age-related influence that’s making a difference? Maybe a good movie, book, or article that helped you understand bisexuality better? This ain’t about arguing on right or wrong, but to help each other understand and find a better perspective.
Looking forward to a positive and constructive discussion, folks.+ 🤔
