so, I’ve been scrolling my social media feeds and watching the news lately and it’s driving me crazy with all this negative feed. The global pandemic, climate change, you name it, it’s just terrifying to me. My anxiety’s been through the roof and it’s just all too much sometimes, you know? Is anyone else experiencing this emotional overload? What’s helping you cope with it?
I’ve tried to limit my exposure to news and social media but sometimes I slip up, and get sucked into the vortex again. The bombardment of these worrying views and scary situations really saps my emotional energy.
Sometimes, I have this huge guilt hovering over me when I see the world hurting and I am safe at home, sipping my tea, going to bed with a full belly, and privileged enough to have a stable job during these trying times. Anyone else relate to that or is it just me?
Also, if you’ve got any tips on how to keep calm when the world seems out of control, I’m keen to hear them. Just help me out here, I’ve been struggling with this so much lately. Or, better yet, share some good news stories. I could benefit from positive points of view on the world. Thanks.
