I was wondering if you all have ever noticed just how much stress can build up without us even realizing it? Until it hits us, like a ton of bricks. Yup, been there, felt that. It can be overwhelming and sometimes it feels like there’s no escape from it.
For all its negatives, stress is a part of life, and instead of hoping for it to disappear, I believe the best way is to handle it, bit by bit. Everyone has their own techniques to deal with stress, and I thought it might be beneficial to exchange ideas here? Not only may we find new strategies to try, but I think just having the space to talk about it can be a stress reliever itself.
For instance, I find that once I begin to feel the onset of overwhelming stress, I prefer to step back, take deep breaths, and just disconnect for a while. Doesn’t have to be for long, a few minutes can work wonders. Sometimes all we need is that little reset to get things back in perspective. My second coping strategy is to immerse myself in an enjoyable pastime - music, reading, doodling, they all serve as a well-deserved break from the never-ending hustle.
What are your strategies for dealing with stress? Do you think it’s possible to eliminate stress completely from our lives? And if so, how? While sharing, remember, it’s okay to not be okay and your feelings 🤔
