I stumbled upon an article the other day about the decline of community libraries and it got me thinking. It’s been ages since I’ve visited one - I admit, with the convenience of online reading platforms or audiobooks, it’s easy to forget about these local gems. But I wonder, are they really a fading relic or are we overlooking their value?
In our bustling digital world, there’s still a certain charm about physically browsing through the stacks, picking a book, and experiencing that ‘book smell’ - not to mention, libraries often host various community events. On the flip side, everything is just a click away now and frankly, it’s super convenient.
If you’ve been to a library recently, what was your experience like? If not, what’s stopping you? Are libraries outdated or do they just need to repackage their relevance for our modern era?
