Honestly, I don’t know about you guys, but can we just talk about how irritating it is when different streaming platforms have exclusive rights to different shows and movies? I mean, it started out all nice and easy with Netflix owning the game. But now? We’ve got Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Peacock… the list goes on!
Paying for cable was supposed to be a thing of the past, but with all of these different platforms requiring separate subscriptions, it feels like I’m spending just as much, if not more. And it’s not like my favorite shows are all on one platform, oh no, they’re scattered across different services like some kind of TV show treasure hunt.
Feel free to tell me I’m just being a grump and need to keep up with technology, but I can’t be the only one feeling subscription fatigue, right? I’m curious about your thoughts on this. Is it something we should just accept as part of our modern streaming culture or is it worth pushing against it? Let’s chat.
