I've had this problem for some time now. It has happened 5 times over the last sixteen months. I've had to reset my computer sometimes after installing software and when I go to my bookmarks to look at some thing they have all vanished. It's getting a bit much now as I had some important stuff in my bookmarks and It takes forever to relocate it. I said last time if it happens again I will go back to explorer. Now it has so I'm getting shut of Firefox.
Has this ever happened to any one else?

All of my bookmarks disappeared a couple of days ago, and I can't add any new ones. Also, if I add icons to the toolbar they don't show up when I close Firefox and open it again. I tried reinstalling already. Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest creating a new profile and see if it does it on there.
