It doesn't work on my computer either and the funny thing is it seems this is a school website correct? Well then why is the oh so clever ICT guy paid to do this website getting paid when he not even coding anything of his own i mean look at the source code.

That website = Fail to me its well dated

Your ie 8 hads not properly configured....re-install it
