That's fine Papa Spot ;).
You're only 2 days late, and to me, that isn't very late compared to people I know in real life who can't remember when my birthday is Tongue

Well generally yeah, but it all depends on where you live. Where I live (PA), you can get your learner's permit when you're 15 and 90 days away from your 16th birthday. This allows you to drive, if you have an adult 21 or older with you. When you're 16, 90 days from your 17th birthday and when you have completed X hours of practice with your learner's permit, you can get your junior (I call it a Cinderella license), which allows you to drive without being accompanied by an adult 21 or over, but you may not be driving between the hours of 11 PM and 5 AM (hence the Cinderella reference) and you may not have any more than 3 passengers. When you're 17, 90 days from your 18th birthday, you can get your full license (self explanatory).
I'm so mad about this graduated license thing. If only I was born a year or two earlier, I could of gotten the full license at 16. :<
Hehe, I'm not interested in licenses, so I really don't care. Tongue

I'd be mad too, if I were your age. But since I'm my age, I have a different perspective. More drivers are killed between 16 and 18 years old than in any other comparable age range--by FAR. Now, you're probably thinking that I sound like an old goat. But ya know what? I AM an old goat, so THERE.

As part of perpetuation of the species, parents have a built-in urge to see their offspring survive to the age of reproduction.  As a kid, the restrictions stink. But as you get older and you've seen a few kids die in car wrecks, you kind of change your attitude toward it.

Having said THAT....

I got my driver's license when I was fourteen.

NAH-nah!

Now Papa Spot, you know you are not setting a good example to these young folks, who all they wish to do is learn to wreck and die! You ought to be ashamed of yourself for telling such a tale as that! Why land-sakes, they'll be getting their licenses at 14 now, because of what you said! Tongue

I don't think they'll let anybody have a license at fourteen nowadays. Uh...you probably have ME to thank for THAT. Tongue
Hahahaha. Yeah, you're probably right, but I'm still a bit unhappy. :p
No doubt! Like I said, I'd be mad too. Tongue
BTW, Dr Small; I wasn't joking about having had my license since I was fourteen. Back in the middle ages, some states (e.g. Texas, Oklahoma) allowed kids to get a restricted license at that age. A lot of us were already driving anyway because we had to drive the truck from one field to the other while dad (or grandpa) drove the tractor.

But ya wanna know something funny? I'm about to have to go take another driving test. I've got a CDL Class A but I've gotta get a P endorsement (passenger bus) on it because the department just got a municipal-size bus and I've gotta train some of our employees to drive it.
