Well, I would have thought that EVERYTHING that you wrote in English would be underlined.
I installed FF 2 and the spell checker seemed to work. Unfortunately, there isn't an extension update yet for Roboform and I just can't live without it so I went back.
No, if it would have the english spellchecker installed on an Danish version every Danish word would be underlined as an error.
NOTHING gets an underline on my version of FF 2. Not Danish, not English :S
Same thing happened when I tried to down load the German version. (I speak fluent German). It never really comes in handy unless I visit my cousins in Germany. I Never get to use it so downloading that version I thought might be good practice. By I had the same problem and I downloaded Beta 2 and the spell check works.

Well, he didn't SAY that he downloaded the English spell check so we really don't know that he did. I figured that the Danish version came with a Danish spell checker.
Well I have the same exact problem with my german one but I really don't need it.
Then, uh, why did you start this thread? :S
Okay, I get the red underline (sometimes on word that are NOT misspelled) but when I right-click, it doesn't offer any suggestions. Also, when I try to add a word to the dictionary, it stays underlined. It acts like there's no default dictionary. Anybody know anything about this?
Well, I can't say as it's ever happened to me, but I thought that there was a file somewhere on your computer that got created when you upgraded to 2.0 and it was the dictionary file that had all the correct words in it.
Maybe I'm mistaken.
But I dunno. I'll have to do some searching to figure this out.

The Dictionaries are located in your "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\dictionaries" folder, unless you installed it on another drive besides C. That's where mine is located! ^
Check there and make sure there is a en-US.aff AND a en-US.dic
