If you watch that video it shows a mac equivalent of WinRar. It shows a lot of stuff, definitely worth watching if you're planning on switching to Mac.
I did watch it and it only mentioned an unarchiver not something to make them.
Does it do split archives though?

You can do it manually through the terminal but it gets a little tricky.
I recommend using
Split&Concat.
Enjoy your mac. But I warn you, you will feel left out when we are sharing .exe files.

Stay away from VMWare, or Parallels Desktop. They make your Mac run a lot slower, just use Boot Camp, works fine, just like a normal Windows, with all drivers installed correctly.
