If i post somthing of intrest here, am i allowed to
say "+rep appreciated"

It's currently not against the rules, but it's pretty dumb in my opinion.

The quality of your posts should do it for you.

True that, I've never asked for a + rep and I've already got 4.

Asking for rep is sure to get you flamed by members.

@mon3yexploit: No, it wont. Only if you randomely PM people or post "+ rep me please!" for no reasons.

But if you post something useful, saying 'rep appreciated' you wont get flamed by that.

Abuse occurs and so will rules. So you decide if you think it's worth abusing and ruining it for others.

I had(have) 41 on HF without ever asking for rep.

Asking for rep is inappropriate in my opinion. It is quite childish too.

Never a good idea to ask for reps - Respect and reputation should be commanded not demanded ;)

I wouldn't do it. If people think you deserve rep you get it Makes rep effective =]
