The choices are between a Sony VAIO NS30 E/S, Toshiba Satellite L500-1DT, Dell Inspiron 15, and a Samsung R519.
Or are there any other alternative laptops you can recommend?
My budget is about £500 ($770).
The first two links are the same
.
I'm content with my Toshiba Satellite, very good laptop. Mines a L305, though.

I have 4 GB of RAM. I had Windows Vista when I got it (last June) but I installed Windows 7 at the beginning of this year.

That's a lot of RAM, that's around the range I'm looking for. But how much did you pay for it?
Hmm, I think it was only 400 USD. I'll have to ask my mom to be exact haha. But it's around 400-500 USD tops.

Oh Ok, so it's well within my limits. Thanks for the help.
But I have just one more question: did your mum get it online or from the shops? because I want to know if I can get it now.
No problem
. I'm pretty sure she bought it in a store.
