I use personally use GIMP instead of Photoshop. Anyway, here's my attempt. I did more than just the lasso tool though

I used the quick selection tool, and it turned out nicely.

Now i see how people make these cool images =P
I think i will really get into photoshop...

Yeah, You cold use other tools but I think this is simplest way xD
