Don't y'all think it's kind of lame that some people have joined solely to get the feather award? There're some members here, such as Aristotle, Trilobyte, Skill, myself, Tim, and more who have been here since the opening, but now there's a crapload of people coming here and spamming as if they care about SF solely to get the HF award. I admit that the burst of activity is nice, but it's rather disappointing to see people post, "I'm only here for the feather award. Plus, it's like the lounge on HF, but you get posts for it!" I dunno who said that, but it was in the thread trilobyte locked. Just had to get this off my chest.
Note: I am not against the award itself. I am against those who are simply joining, shooting up to 100 posts, getting it, then leaving.
I did not join solely for this award. However, I DID start being active again for it.
At the same time, I'm far past the 100 posts required and I have been trying to continue my SF life.
I just hope the strictness of the mods doesn't steer me away.
I find it sad that people are going out of their way to make 100 posts on a quality forum, all for a virtual feather icon underneath their name.

I also find it sad that, once said members get that icon, they will leave SF in the dust.
I saw the award thing but I just came here because I wanted to. I don't care about some award. Even if i get 100 posts I could care less if i get one.

In my opinion, this award on HF will be worth less than the donor award.

I have been here for a good while and were active so I know I didn't join just for the award
