I think it's interesting that people talk so much about how Alienware is a huge waste of money and people are only paying for the brand, when the exact same is happening, only on a larger scale, with every single one of Apples products, yet nobody complains or picks up on that.
Alienware are great computers, yes it may be cheaper for you to build your own, but I wouldn't have a clue where to start building my own, nor do I have the time, interest, or motivation to build my own. So for me, buying an Alienware, which will do everything I want it to do, looks amazing, and is very practical, seems like the perfect solution.
Anybody buying an Apple computer, you're are paying a ridiculous amount of money for a slightly better than average computer, yet people seem to think it's OK these days because Apple is popular, cool and trendy.

Everyone complains about that.
Not nearly as much as they do with Alienware.
Heck I bet the majority of people who have posted on this thread haven't even got, or used an Alienware computer.

Actually I'd say the apple debate is alot more known.
That's true, and I can say I've used one for about a week as my main PC. It was pretty much the same as my old PC I had before that, but with a load of LEDs that you could change the colour of.
It's meh.
I'm getting the m11x in a couple of weeks. Really looking forward to it. It's main use will be for Animations, Graphics, and just general browsing which I've heard from a lot of people it is good for.
Also it's small and light meaning it won't be a problem taking it to university.
I can see where people are coming from, building your own probably is a hell of a lot cheaper, but not everybody knows how to do that, or, as I said in my previous post, has the time, interest, or motivation to build their own.

You should write a little review after you've used it for a few days - Could be rather insightful
Yeh I will do mate.
It is much better just to build your own computer and add alienware sticker on it..
Laptop you pay for 3 things.
1. The laptop
2. Support
3. Warranty
Dell support are excellent as well as their warranties they provide with it.
Alienware is going to make a big announcement soon dont know what it is but I noticed some sites counting down the days.
Yes there very over rated but my friend has one and there good for gaming.
