Background

A few weeks ago I ordered an off brand 3.5" IDE HD Enclosure from ebay. The return date is past its mark.

The Problem

When I plug in the USB HD vista tells me that the USB device is not recognized. It is brandless so I can't go to the manufacture's website and download a driver. And besides, the ebay item said that it didn't need a driver and that it would work without one.

The Prompt

Does anyone know why my device won't communicate with vista? Does anyone have any recommendations? If there is any other information needed I'd be happy to supply it.

Device is probably stuffed.
Everything needs a driver man! See if you can contact the seller to get some further information (i.e. Maunfacturer).

I was talking to the guy I bought it from. He said he'd send me another that worked. Thank goodness for customer service.
