If you're going to get an iPod Touch, why not JailBreak it? I mean, sure it voids your warranty and such, but all you have to do is just Restore it, then it'll be fine. Yes, JailBreaking is totally worth it, to get everything free, then if something goes wrong, just restore it and go get it fixed. Sounds great to me.
i was hesitant about jailbreaking my iphone but i had to because the 4.0 made it so laggy so i didnt load it up with a ton of garbo software just jailbroke it to 3.1.2 and its pretty cool.
I jailbroke my iPhone 3g just to lock some apps and that is it, it is worth it if you want free apps definetly.
I actually used Blackra1n to jail break my iTouch and it worked great.
I also read somewhere that it's now legal and OK to jail break crap Big Grin
It was never illegal to jailbreak, although, you do lose warranty. If you download cracked apps and such, yes, that is illegal.
Yeah jailbreak it! Your iDevice will slow a bit down if you use background apps eg. Winterboard.
But who doesn't want free apps.Big Grin

You get free games i think thats worth it
It's up to you the only thing you get is free apps and such.
free apps = ftw Big Grin

but you do lose warranty Sad
In my opinion it slows it down a lot. So I'd say no and you do end up losing the warranty =/
