I think when we get 20,000 member and activity in this place gets going, it might be a nice, just to inform people of any late releases. But I think most of what goes on will be told in the Site News and Feedback section. Why would people DDoS this place? Omni hates no one (that I know of), I wonder why people would hold a grudge against him and his websites.

People that were DDosing HF might come here after.
From what I understand people are angry at members on Hackforums, not Omni. If members from Hackforums move here so will the attackers.

To many of those exist in this world already. Don't give any one else the idea.
I agree with Omni, any news can just be posted here. I admit, having just made a Twitter account, I would definitely follow SF, it's not going to make anything more efficient.
We will need a much larger userbase here before we should even think of having a twitter. We need to keep focus on getting members here for now, and now how many twitters and tweets we can have.

No, some black hat's just want to fudge up everything they can see..
Well I registered twitter.com/supportforums but I haven't set it up yet.
GizSho, now that you posted this infront of everyone.. someone will steal SupportForums + SupportForums.net.
A twitter would be a good idea in my opinion for updating users incase of downtime.
