I think he did try the new monitor on another computer

Yes actually I did. REREAD the first post.
Anyway, I got it fixed. Just needed to update my graphics card drivers. Works perfectly now. Yeye

Ok, now Im having another problem with this hellish monitor... theres a white glow around the outside edge of the monitor. Its not very big, but its kinda got me worried (and annoyed)
Does it look something like this?
This is called backlight bleeding.

ya, kind of. But it extended from the top and bottoms almost to the middle. I had the monitor replaced... it was that bad, and getting worse every day
