I recently had a problem with this so I figured I'd put it out there for people who have had trouble or encountered this problem.
Download nrg2iso (should be in you repositories)
in Terminal or Konsole type cd into the file with the .nrg.
Simply type ngr2iso file.ngr file.iso
I can't believe it stopped me.
