Hello users of Supportforums, this is my first HT (How To) thread.
Please check out my second HT thread

I will be showing you guys how to create a great password today.

password [pas-wurd] - a secret word or string of characters that is used for authentication, to prove identity or gain access to a resource.

Now we all know how to create a password, but how do we create a GREAT password?

A great password consist of all of the below
  • Containing more than 8 letters
  • At least one digit
  • Upper and lower case
  • Special characters
  • Different password for each site

A terrible password looks like this:
chicken

A decent password looks like this:
ch1cken5

A good password looks like this:
cH1ck3n5!

A great password looks like this:
cH#1cK#3N5!

Now you're probably asking yourself "How can I remember all the passwords if I have a different password for each site?"

Let's say your base password is 14mM4Dc0oL

Your facebook password could be 14mM4Dc0oLfb1

You can just extend your base password by 3 letters and it is totally different. You can abbreviate the site name like facebook could be fb, support forums could be sf and so on.

Thank you reading my HT thread, please say thanks if this helped you. If you didn't like it please give me some feedback.

I created this myself, if you use it on another site please give credits to me, NaK.
