The term used for these are indeed "domain hacks". Obviously it isn't some sort of a real "hack" though.

I liked hearing about domain hacks a while back. I've considered using one especially perhaps on the .me. I owned a .ly domain hack once( I think it was .ly..). Like Ad fly, etc works on there.

De.licio.us is the most popular one i've heard of. I think they pioneered the domain hacks world
