Oh ma lawd!

I do have a Google account....somewhere.

It may be part of a YouTube account I have I think, but after many attempts, I just couldn't see any 'Add A Result' option at Google.
Sorry about that but how about this idea?

I did try entering http://www.supportforums.net into YouTube,
which came up with 0 hits, so how about the idea of some of us
making a simple slide show, featuring some screen shots of SF and then uploading it to YouTube?

Not only screenshots, but with some accompanying text, explaining the
purpose of SF and including some of the features of the site, by highlighting a few forums perhaps?

It could maybe go sort of hand in hand, with any tutorials that anybody has possibly uploaded there from SF.

I was also wondering if possibly advertising SF on any of the social networking sites may be acceptable?

FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter etc. I'm sure that there must be many folks at those places, that occasionally need some support, mainly for PC related issues I would imagine.

Could these ideas be worthwhile?

Only 12 other people have done this. Thats a shame.

Very nice idea
Anything that anyone else wants to do to help promote this site I will be grateful.
I did it, i hope it helps. *#16 now/.
Here is a simple slide show that I made for the purpose of promoting Support Forums.

I made one anyway, even if there may have been comments saying it was possibly not a good idea, although the suggestion has not been commented on.

At best, what I have done may be appreciated and at worst, then I have only spent some hours making it.

I wanted to make it as simple as possible, while aiming to make it bold and informative but without saying that much
and hopefully get the message accross effectively, which I believe I have done so.

For images, I chose icons/symbols, as they are fairly classic in design and they should mean the same to whoever may see them,
irregardess of whatever language the viewers may speak.

I tried to make it as Support Forums friendly as possible, by using part of the SF background as the background for this silde show
and also used part of the Support Forums heading/logo as a banner, while trying to use colours suitable for this site.

I notice now previewed here, that the grey striped background is a few degrees out
which is something that I didn't foresee.

I'm wondering then, if it would be acceptable to make some posts at possibly Facebook,
MySpace or YouTube about Support Forums?

Some people that I know who have accounts at Facebook and MySpace
wouldn't have much of a clue about how to fix any problems with their PC's and may find this site helpful.

Some additional URL's:

The slide show - Should begin with a few frames of the grey background on its own.
