AVG Free
Avast Free

I posted this because alot of people have diffrent views from what ive read on the internet. For instance on download.com AVG is the most downloaded.

But what are your views?
I choose Avast
Avast, hands down.
Most people choose AVG because it comes with most computers, and it's more user friendly, sorta.
Avast by Far, Finds more viruses and less false positives. I have never being infected using Avast.
I quite like Avast, but that's just my opinion... Smile
I think AVG has a better GUI but I really don't care about that and avast! picks up a lot more (at least for me it does).
Why choose? Run them both. Smile

It's not a problem to run these side-by-side on the same system. I did so myself for a long time. I won't disclose my full AV setup right now but it does include one or both of those softwares.

Often Anti-Virus protection starts with knowing where you download files from. My AV never triggers because I don't download from anywhere but trusted sources (i.e. downloads.com).
I use AVG and I have never been infected unless that one time that I downloaded a phisher that had a trojan horse in it but other then that I would say

AVG.

People say the running 2 AV's side by side could cause conflicts though.
