It is not the best for everything. But it is very useful for coding. I use it for my web dev projects.

It's very useful and easy to work with.
I've recently started to use it. Very simple and straight forward.
None of its features are hidden away stupidly.
I use it along with "programmers notepad"

This is because programmers notepad aut fills in tags for you.
e.g. if you type <html>
it will automaticly type </html>

This feature can save a lot of time.

Notepadd++ has the same feature, you can enable it under TextFX -> TextFX Settings

I love that feature as-well. In Aptana, it auto closes almost anything. Saves lots of time.
I haven't found an IDE that really 'stands out' from the others yet, but yeah...an IDE is useful.
So now that we agree that Notpad is just awsome!
What theme are ya'll using?

I use Obsidian (Click to View)
I use Twilight. I always bold the font in the settings but it never saves when I open it again.
I replaced the default notepad with windows to notepad++...that should sum up my answer. =)
