"Omg all my FB friends are addicted to these stupid FB games, they are so stupid"
*Starts playing <insert a video game>
Most of the people who rage about this are just as bad. It's another way of entertainment.
Same as some people are addicted to the video games, Internet, TV, adrenalin, sports, etc...
I love MSN, facebook and such, cuz I don't really like talking to people. So I can just mumble back in a chat.
I only like talking with really close friends, like 1 or 2.

I know everyone I have on Fb, except for I think 4/5 people. Most of those people I don't really know personally and never talk to them, but I know them by name and I think 95% is from my school lol.

Yeah it does really seem to get too "addictive" these days. I, myself, cannot say anything about them as I know that I am also addicted. It's not as bad though, I rarely post statuses and I've never played one of those facebook games. But anyway, it still is a major distraction, and an amazing tool to waste/pass time.
I've told myself like 20 times that I'll stop it....and I never do.
