I am in need of a new Laptop.

I have a $500 budget.

It will be used for the following:

• Video and Picture editing.
  
• Web browsing.
  
• Downloading Movies and Music.
  
• Streaming TV shows and Movies

I can't vouch for amazing battery life or super strong CPU, but it is a quad-core (albeit being AMD), and has a decent video card that can play Skyrim on pretty high settings, which means it's good enough for HD video and Video rendering/editing.

This. For your budget this would be a pretty good grab.

I would personally go with an HP as far as brand. The dv6's are around your price range so look it em!
