I purchased the domain for a project but it will not happen. Can I do something with it or does somebody even want to buy it or should I just let it die out?

I don't see what possible purpose this site could serve. I guess you make a forum out of it but no one's going to want to join a site called "skidbay".

No...you wouldn't join a forum called skidbay. If the forum provided interesting content and looked nice I'd join regardless of the name.

It would be a shame to just let it die out. You could offer some sort of file-share service. Since MegaUpload has just been shut down, you could try and use that to your advantage.

Just an idea.
