When I try to edit the forum home template to insert some code I get an internal server error. This doesn't happen on the other templates I've had to edit.

Solutions I've tried
  • .htaccess file if "Mod_Security" is installed on my web host server.
  • All folders are CHMOD to 755 and files to 644.
    Demonstration of the problem:

I've posted this on the vB support forums too. If I get a solution I'll update it here, it will be useful for future reference.
I remember I configured my vB for Tabbed Menus but never got this problem.
Maybe the latest version has problems with the js files that mod is using.

Edit: I think you have to add this whole code to HEADER INCLUDE template.
Just try it
You'd be best off asking Damink about this, he's quite experienced with this type of forum software.
I would have also used the header include template actually but there is easier ways.

Thats exactly what you want there i believe Sam?
DAMINK that's the exact mod I am trying to install. I'm following the instructions and I have to edit the FORUMHOME template.

If you can provide me of a way around it then please share it.
did you replace the content as suggested in the install file?

<!-- main -->

*all the Default vb CODE between the remarks*

<!-- /main -->

The gif looks like you just dumped code below?

I'm really not sure, the file confuses me as I'm a first time vB user and I'm not used to it's structure.

If you could help via TeamViewer/AdminCP it would be much appreciated.
