Well you guys no the popular facebook exchange script right?
If not you can check it out here:
http://likeviews.com/

Anyways, this script went viral. But the what I'm wondering is, the owner of it, the dude who created it, why did he sell it? He could've used it, if he was the only one with it, his website would've went viral, and he would've made a nice income.

I also recently saw a BEAST search engine script,
Here it is: http://www.searchkorner.com/
The owner of that website said it was a pre made script that's not viral yet. What I'm wondering is why did that dude sell the script? If he used it for himself he could become a millionaire. Why sell it?
Perhaps these people believed they'd make more money selling their scripts than implementing them on their own sites. Some people are just developers, not webmasters.

Well, you'd have to pretty stupid not to use them.
I mean look at this script:
http://www.searchkorner.com/

If that script doesn't go viral, then his site will easily become huge.

If you look at the top 1,000 websites of today, theirs a site similar to his but worse. And it's making a ton of cash.

he just wants upfront fast money Smile
Pretty much. The script is really nothing special. He might have more skills in coding than using the script in such a way to monetise through it.

Why would you say that the script isn't special? lol, look at both of them, and feel it if you've ever coded even a single page.

And the second answer of yours is worth a reply, that the coders would need more money to take their REAL projects to an end

A coder wouldn't be a coder then. They'd be an Internet marketer. I only looked at the first link, and the software involved was very simple. Many sites/services use a similar thing. For example, the Firefox search toolbar.
SearchKorner.com is my website. Smile

People create scripts for a living. They don't just make it for there website and than sell it they make them to sell, and make a living.

Because people like me purchase them because either they don't know how to code or in my case don't have the time to code one. I will code my own though very soon. Smile
I would also like to add my website searchkorner, is not making ANY profit. Just I have put no ads on the site, and don't plan on it. So that is my advantage from all the others I am not a greedy bitch that posts 30 ads on a site, and launches it. I paid a nice amount of money, and released the site ad free.

Possibly, we will have to wait and see. When I make my own script I will keep it fairly similar, and be sure its HQ. I won't release it though. Tongue
