Hello Everyone this is going to be my first tutorial and my first thread on this forum so i hope you like it.
Today i'm going to teach you how to create a Gold text effect like the one below.



Step 1

Grab your Type Tool and spell out a word preferably using a thick font.
For this example I'm using Hobo Std.



Step 2

Were going to start off with a Gradient Overlay double click on your layer and click Gradient Overlay.
For the colours the left is going to be a bright yellow,I'm going to be using the colour ffe898.
And on the right side I am going to use a caramel colour I'm going to using the colour d18f0f.
You can use my colour or you can experiment with your own colours.


Step 3

Change the style to reflected.
And you done with the gradient.


Step 4

Now head over to Bevel and Emboss
Keep the S.yle Inner Bevel
Make the dept to 180
Make the Size to 7
Change the Angle to 145 and the Altitude to 40
Make the Shadow Mode to Linear Burn and make the opacity to 60%
Then Click on the Gloss Contour and change it to Ring Double


Step 5

We are now going to add a glow to give a nice effect.
Head over Outer Glow change the blend mode to Linear Dodge and the opacity to 50% and choose a nice orange colour I'm going to use fdca66 .Now set the size to 25px and make the range all the way to 100%



That's it! Now your done!
