Im a bit confussed in choosing my hard disk..whether i should go for wD r some other brand...?can u suggest me a best one with its price..n whether i should go for usb r power type...?me gonna buy 1t.b hard disk

Stay away from seagate and make sure the disk can run at 10,000 rpm and you should be fine i guess.

I prefer Western Digital, and I use one and it works fine.

From what I can see, the only power supply necessary is USB. My old one has to be plugged into a power outlet

Yep its what i do Omni. I have had my cradle for years now. Usb connection with a power supply.



Ugly unit and been hacked by me to death lol. So i put a beer there to brighten the pic a bit

Mine is worse...I don't even know where the "shell" is but I still use the connector part with the power and USB. It's pretty much only the backend of it which used to slide into the base. I just leave it sitting out.
