Hello SupportForums!,

My grandfather is going to help me build/buy a new computer (He is a Computer Wiz).

As I said in the thread Subject, I have a $3,000 budget.

What we have come up with so far is:

1. Intel Core i7 or i8 (Depends if it comes out soon) Processor.
2. 12 - 15 GB of RAM
3. 2TB HDD ;;1TB Back Up

He has also encouraged me to get a Blue Ray Burner, and 2 Blue Ray Disk Drives.

Anyways, what are your opinions?
BluRay is fine but you would have to have a bluray player to play of coarse.
I don't know much about building computers, but I will say don't rush into anything. $3000 is a lot of money and you can build a seriously good machine with that amount, so make sure you plan it out in depth and think carefully about all of the parts you buy.
Get a huge LCD screen and a ATI Radeon Graphics Card
Where do you get the i8 from? I couldn't find it?
Anyways, you have a lot of money there, you can get a good one in around 900-1000 and save the rest of the money to do upgrades in the future.

I thought there is news on it (rumors?)
You can get a good one for cheaper, but i'm not trying to tell you how to spend your money.
Anyways, enjoy!
Sounds like it will be a damn fine machine Smile
