It's easier for me to type when I know what I'm saying, and not reading it, or reading it off paper.

I use three fingers on each hand to type, my index, thumb, and pinky for shift. I don't do the home row junk. After typing like that for 7 years, you just begin to know the physical location of every key exactly.

If that's true you should still be pretty fast... It can't possibly be much less than that.
