It's a good guide, and $100 is a lot of money to spend on computers these days (if you have a cheap one)
For $100 I can get:
nvidia 8600GT
2G DDR2 RAM 800MHZ
A nice new mouse
That's a lot, considering you don't need a HUGE processor to play games and such.

Thanks a lot!
Nice post Defender. Enjoyed it.
Do I need it? Well it sure would be nice to have.. My specs would go up a lot but then again it could not work. It only costs 50$ but what would I do with it if it didnt work?

Exactly. Specs really aren't as important as everyone makes it seem. I've used to play games like WoW on a Dimensions 3000 with the integrated graphics and it ran like a dream. (Before anyone calls me a nerd I only played during that first free month.
)
Excellent input man.
I just put this PC together last december and it still works great for me, although I might need a few SSDs and HDDs soon.
good guide mate, unless its "needed" like REALLY needed theres no real point in the upgrade.
